Mapping Inactive Platform Cooperative Projects: Challenges & Lessons

Hello everyone,

We are collecting insights from organizations involved in inactive platform cooperative projects to better understand common challenges and lessons learned. Your input will help shape future strategies and support systems for the growth and sustainability of platform cooperatives.

The questionnaire takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. In many questions, you will find optional spaces where you can further describe your answers, feel free to use or skip them. Respondents (maximum two people per organization) will receive a CAD $70 gift card or transfer, funded by the University of Toronto. You will hear from us about this after the survey closes.

We want to stress that we are looking for projects that truly got off the ground, initiatives that have attempted to build alternative technologies with real communities and collectives behind them. If you are an individual who had a personal project or idea but never initiated or developed the cooperative project, please do not fill out the survey, as we will not take the answer into account, and will not be able to provide the thank-you gift.

Thank you for your generosity and contributions. We hope that our collective efforts will foster solidarity-driven digital alternatives.

Best regards,

Stefano Tortorici (Scuola Normale Superiore)

Rafael Grohmann (University of Toronto)

Cecilia Munoz Cancela (Código Libre Coop – FACTTIC)

Austin Robey (Subvert Cooperative)
